Supporting Scouting in Crosby, Waterloo, and Thornton

Do more. Share more. Be more.

Scouting helps young people gain confidence, take the lead, and learn skills for life — all while having fun. From outdoor adventures and creative crafts to community projects, it’s about friendship, growth, and making a difference.

Crosby & District Scouts supports young people aged 4 to 25 across Crosby, Waterloo, and Thornton, made possible by a team of dedicated volunteers.

Everyone is welcome. Whether you're a young person ready to join or an adult looking to volunteer, we’d love to hear from you — and welcome you to be part of the adventure.

A Message from the District Team

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to the incredible volunteers who keep our local Scout groups running—continuing a proud Scouting tradition lasting over 100 years. Year in and year out, you deliver life-changing experiences for young people or carry out essential support roles behind the scenes to keep each group organised, safe, and sustainable. We’re truly grateful for your time, energy, and dedication.

Alongside you, our Trustee Board and District support teams are here to help. From governance and finance to programme planning and volunteer development, we’re working together to ensure every group has the resources, guidance, and support needed to grow and succeed.

We know volunteering often means juggling work, study, family, and other commitments. The time you give—however big or small—has a lasting and powerful impact. You’re not only creating life-changing opportunities for young people but also building a stronger, more connected community.

To each and every one of you: your contribution is valued, your impact is real, and we are incredibly proud to volunteer alongside you.

On behalf of Crosby & District Scouts — thank you.
